A Month of Magic: Celebrating May’s Wedding Cakes

May has always felt like a fresh beginning..longer days, blooming flowers, golden sunshine, and love stories blooming all around Lancashire, the Ribble Valley and the Lake District.

From rustic charm to sleek elegance, our designs this month have truly reflected the diversity and individuality of the couples we work with. Each cake tells a different story, just like the couples themselves. Some of our most popular designs this May have included:

One of my absolute highlights from May was designing a cake for Kris and Dan. Their cake was a sleek, contemporary design that featured bespoke sugar models of themselves in their velvet suits — plus their adorable dog, Alfie. I loved every moment of bringing their vision to life, and I still follow their honeymoon adventures on social media! It’s moments like these that make my work so rewarding. I genuinely miss working with some couples after the wedding has passed!

Looking Ahead

It’s no surprise that May 2026 next year is already fully booked, along with several other peak months. With its blooming landscapes, bright skies, and bonus bank holidays (a huge hit with our lovely teacher couples!), May remains a favorite in the wedding calendar.

And as we look forward to the upcoming months, I’m excited to continue designing cakes that break the mold, reflect true individuality, and add that sweet, unforgettable detail to every celebration.
