Why Confirming Your Wedding Cake Consultation Matters 💌

Planning your wedding is such an exciting time, and one of the sweetest parts (literally!) is choosing your dream wedding cake. That’s why we’re delighted to offer free wedding cake consultations in our gorgeous bridal showroom. These appointments are a chance to chat through ideas, look at designs and start shaping your vision around your budget, and they do book up quickly!

How our consultations work ✨

Once you book your consultation, I’ll be in touch personally to confirm your appointment. You’ll then receive a reminder a week before your consultation, followed by a confirmation email.

If I don’t hear back after these two reminders, your appointment will automatically be cancelled and the slot (including your wedding date) will be offered to another couple on our waiting list. This isn’t because we don’t value your time, quite the opposite. It’s because:

• Wedding dates book up years in advance (2026 is nearly full, 2027 is filling fast and 2028 enquiries are already coming in!).

• Our waiting list is growing, and every couple deserves the chance to secure a date.

• Like all small businesses, I’m balancing cake design, wedding deliveries and my precious family life so I can’t hang about waiting on no shows in the showroom. Our cake appointments are often back to back.

Why a quick reply makes a difference 💕

I completely understand that plans change, life gets busy or you may decide to reschedule. That’s absolutely no problem at all but please do let me know. A quick “yes” or “no” makes a huge difference. It means:

• We can release your slot for another couple who’s eager to start planning.

• We can reschedule you for a time that works better.

• I can focus on designing cakes (instead of chasing emails 😉).

The same goes for quotes: if I send one through and it’s not for you, or if Auntie Denise has decided to bake your cake as a gift that’s totally fine! Just pop me a reply to let me know. Even if you’re still thinking it over, a little message saying “we’re reviewing this” is enough to keep the communication flowing.

The wedding industry is one of the busiest and most time sensitive out there. By confirming (or even politely declining) your appointments and quotes, you’re not just helping me you’re helping every supplier you work with. It’s about courtesy, respect and making sure everyone gets the best chance at securing their dream date.
