Luxury Wedding Cake Design for Zaralena Jackson & Shaun Iddon at Merrydale Manor, Cheshire

There are some weddings that instantly feel unforgettable from the very first meeting, and Zaralena Jackson & Shaun Iddon’s beautiful wedding was certainly one of them.

I first met the new Mr & Mrs Iddon in early 2026 when they contacted me to create their bespoke luxury wedding cake for their wedding at the stunning Merrydale Manor in Cheshire. From the moment they visited my Lancashire bridal cake showroom, I knew we would work beautifully together. They were such a natural, warm couple and such a perfect match.

Some couples walk through my showroom doors and they already feel like friends.

During our consultation, we discussed their initial ideas, wedding styling, floral inspiration and elegant décor concepts for the day.

Zaralena had a great vision and we were certainly on the same page.

Working alongside their luxury wedding vision, I created a collection of bespoke wedding cake sketches inspired by the romantic aesthetic of the celebration.

They instantly fell in love with the very first design. Combined with three luxury flavours of Amalfi Lemon, Brown sugar biscuit and pistachio and rose. But there was a twist.. all pink shades inside. The bride’s request.

Which just added the perfect princess vibe, because believe me. This bride certainly looked like a perfect princess.

To make the wedding cake even more personal, I incorporated their bespoke monogram into the design, a beautiful finishing touch that elevated the entire piece and tied every detail together effortlessly. This worked so well within the final

room decor & design.

Their wedding reception at Merrydale Manor in Cheshire was breathtaking. The room was draped in soft white fabrics, romantic candlelight and elegant floral installations, creating a timeless luxury atmosphere throughout the space. Every detail had been thoughtfully curated by the incredible team of wedding suppliers involved, including the wonderful Kelly Anne Wedding Planner.

Everyone worked so perfectly together.

The wedding cake itself was designed to become part of the overall styling story,

a true statement piece that balanced intricate edible artistry with contemporary luxury design.

Featuring all handcrafted edible details, delicate draping, romantic textures and elegant piping work, the cake brought together timeless craftsmanship with modern luxury wedding styling.

Positioned within the beautifully styled wedding breakfast room, it became a true show-stopping centrepiece from daytime, through to the evening.
